Winter is coming…

Dearest Kaltenfriends;

The leaves are turning, the nights are getting longer and soon the winter will be here. As the colder weather approaches we are preparing to come out of our Sub-Arctic studio space with new music for you to enjoy, but in the meantime we would like to remind you of our earlier releases…

“The Lanthanide Series” was our first release which is available for free download from the highly regarded Stasisfield label.

“Glaciations” is our second release and is available for free download from our good friends at Dark Winter.

While you wait for new music from Kalte, you may also be interested to pursue our individual projects Akumu and mara’s torment.

As always we look forward to hearing from you, and we look forward to telling you more about upcoming music.

Best regards, Kalte

Review of “Glaciations”

We received our first review of “Glaciations” from who were kind enough to say that “The result is a murky electronica, whose impact is strong”.

We were also very flattered to be featured on NTNS radio last night. You can check out the playlist at

Thanks to all of you for your continued support!

We are very happy to announce that Kalte’s latest release is available for download from the Dark Winter net label. “Glaciations” is the follow up last year’s release on Stasisfield and continues in the same icy and ambient direction. Download it (for free) from Dark Winter and we hope you enjoy it!

Happy 2009!

Happy New Year! We hope that 2009 brings happiness and success to all of you in everything you do!

We’ve spent the last couple of months putting the finishing touches on material for our next release (an announcement will be forthcoming soon), and we’ve been thinking, planning, and scheming about live performances in the months to come. Don’t worry, you’ll be the first to know about any new developments on either front…

We were thrilled to hear that The Lanthanide Series was selected as one of the highlights of 2008 by the Classical Drones blog (see the rest of the list at

The Lanthanide Series was also the featured release on WoopWoop for December 26th Visit to find out more!

Very nice to see so much support from so many people…
